About Me

  
Tay is an educator, a passionate community leader and a technology consultant who is living and working in the Greater Sudbury area since 1990’s. He taught at Cambrian College and is currently working for Kingsoft Canada. He has been involved in Municipal and Provincial politics and has been on numerous committees and non-profit boards including Diversity Advisory Panel, Race Relations Committee of Greater Sudbury Police, Local Immigration Partnership of City of Greater Sudbury and Sudbury Multicultural and Folk Art Association. He has worked with charities like Canadian Cancer Society and Heart & Stroke Foundation. His local leadership has resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars for many non-profit and charitable organizations and causes like earthquakes, disaster relief funds and recent Syrian Refugees sponsorship and settlement.

Tay has over the years, demonstrated immense leadership in enhancing and addressing issues that are critical to the future health and welfare of the region. Engaged in politics for the last 15 years, he is an experienced political organizer and has mobilized thousands of people for various campaigns.

In recognition of Tay’s commitment to community service and volunteerism, Tay has received the Ontario Volunteer Service Award and dozens of many others Volunteer Awards from Municipal and provincial organizations. 
Tay is a strong believer in building communities and giving back to society. He has been an advocate for fairness, equality, and women’s rights all through his life. His primary objective has always been to make stronger and united communities. He is dedicated to his community and committed to delivering progress. Tay is determined in bringing positive change in society by putting forward solutions, offering a fresh, progressive perspective, and leading Nickel Belt to greater heights.
Besides his degrees in Mathematics and English, he is a Cisco and Microsoft Certified System Engineer and Database Administrator. He manages hundreds of companies and users and writes technology solutions on many blogs and websites. He and his wife have four children and a grandchild.
